Samuel Dean

Samuel Dean, 73, of Ohiopyle, passed away February 17, 2026. 

He was born July 7, 1952, son of the late Samuel and Mabel (Williams) Dean. 

He is survived by his wife Tracy, daughter and son-in-law Sammi and Justin Hostetler, Son and daughter-in-law Bryan and Jessica Burnsworth, grandchildren Kaylen and Colton Burnsworth, sister Doris Harshman, and many nieces and nephews. 

He had worked as a custodian for Uniontown School District and was a member of Ohiopyle Fire Department since 1969 serving as chief, engineer, firefighter, and mentor over the years.

He loved making crafts and walking sticks, and spending time with his family and beloved Chihuahua, Qiqi, whom sadly passed Feb 8. 

Arrangements are under the direction of the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, FARMINGTON. All services will be held privately.
